Kochi Tuskers does it again to beat IPL Champs!

Energetic Kochi Tuskers put up an enthusiastic 7 wicket win over defending IPL champions Chennai Super Kings.Tuskers won the toss and elected to field first.The decision was due to  the humid cloudy conditions and it paid off.Batting first Chennai scored 131-4 in 17 overs.In reply Tuskers chased the score in 15 overs with 7 wickets in hand.

Chennai was not able to score freely against the Tuskers bowling  attack.They  lost Hussey early in the innings.Vijay and Raina played well.After 9 overs,rain stopped the play for an hour.

Kochi bowlers bowled with precision as the top guns of Chennai could not do much.Kerala boy Raiphi took the wicket of Badrinath.All-rounder Thisara perera did a fantastic fielding effort off his own bowling to run dangerous Raina out for 40.This was the turning point of the game.

During the chase,McCullum and captain Jayawardhene played some good shorts.McCullum was flawless in his approach.He hit 3 sixes and 4 fours in his 33 ball 47.He was adjudged Man of the Match in second successive game for the crucial knock.Parthiv Patel played a good innings against his old side.He was particularly good against the left handed spinner Jakati.

Brad Hodge and Jadeja see Kochi home without much damage.Young Jadeja is in a mind set to get into the National side.He hit 2 big sixes,one of which was against Tim Southee was a pleasure to watch.

After the win against the Mumbai Indians,Kochi Tuskers has raised confidence level.The side is now playing like a good side.With this win Kochi jumped to 4th spot in the points table.
