Indian Premier League CEO Sundar raman inspected Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium last monday.The stadium is expected to be kochi ipl teams home ground.He spent over an hour in the stadium analyzing the ground standard and gallery facilities.He also had a discussion with Vivek Venugopal and Mehul Shah representatives of Rendezvous Sports World who are the owners of kerala ipl team.Raman expressed his satisfaction about the quality of the stadium and he will submit the report to BCCI soon.Vivek Venugopal said that Raman had made suggestions on increasing spectators comfort and convenience and improving the security and safety aspects and the dressing room.Venugopal said that KCA and Greater Cochin Development Authority, who owns the stadium, were working to make the stadium meet the IPL standards.
Kerala is likely to host an ODI when Australia visits India for a seven-match series in October, KCA officials said.

Steve Waugh and Mahela Jayawardhane comming to kerala IPL team

Harshad Mehta ,the chairman of Rendezvous sports limited annouced that the kerala IPL team is trying to get the former autralian captain Steve Waugh as the key adviser and technical consultant of kerala ipl team in 2011 season.
They also have plan to bring srilankan player Mahela Jayawardhane to the team along with Sreeshanth.He mentioned that the discussions with Steve Waugh is in its final stage.Mahela Jayawardhane is currently playing for Punjab Kings 11.Yuvraj singh is another player kerala cricket fans loves to see in cochin ipl team.Sreshanth has already agreed to play for kerala team,he added in a press meet at dubai last night.
The name of the team,management and other details will be announced by the end of this month,he added.
Young blood from Trivandrum,Raiphi Vincent Gomez replaces S Sreesanth as the new skipper of the Kerala ranji squad.Meanwhile Sreesanth has been included in the 25 member probables.The vice-captain is Robert Fernandez.

Kochi IPL team owners are planning to appoint Steve Waugh,the world champion captain of Australian team as the cheif consultant.The consortium has stepped their first step towards the armour collection for the side.This year,the auction will be tuff.Only the best franchisees can stay at the top.
Meanwhile,the management is also planning to sack Kings 11 player Mahela Jayawardene.He is in prime form in T20 Cricket for the past 4 weeks or so.
S.Sreesanth has expressed his interest to play for the KOchi side.

Before the opening of KCA’s new stadium at Edakkochi,the Kochi IPL team will play all its 9 home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Kaloor.The venue has produced some awesome ventures for Indian cricket team in the past.The stadium has to be modified well before the play planned.Meanwhile a cricket stadium is getting ready at Karyavattom,Trivandrum.so the team can also play IPL matches there.
After the exit of Lalit Modi,Chirayu Amin took carge of the commisioner post of the IPL for the coming seasons.He is the vice-president of the BCCI and head of Baroda cricket association.He is the Head of Alembic Pharmaceutical limited.
Shashank Manohar declared the decision of the BCCI.
Kochi IPL team have new hopes ahead.As the controvery ends with Lalit Modi’s exit from the IPL supremo post,Kochi team can now breath comfortably.It may turn out a disaster for the side if Modi is there as he will come with new rules every day in each and every step affecting the Kochi side and it could have ended up in Kochi being a mediocre side right from the beginning.

BCCI Suspends Lalit Modi and triggered enquiry against him

IPL Chairman,Lalit Modi suspended as expected ,today,that too when the grand finale of Indian Premier League was being played on the other side.Lalit Modi made a super man like appearance in the Mumbai Stadium today before the start of the final match.He landed in a helicopter.On the other side of the battle,Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to suspend Lalit Modi from the counsil.There will be enquiry against Modi after the suspension.
“Lalit Modi is a friend of mine and I met him at the awards function on Friday night. But we did not discuss the current controversy. I think Modi must be given some opportunity at some point of time to explain himself,” Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya told reporters.
“He’s (Lalit Modi) a great guy, he’s done a lot of things for this league and I really hope whatever happens, is fair to him,” Kings XI co-owner Preity Zinta told NDTV on Saturday.

Sahara group who is the owner of the Pune ipl team announced the name and logo of the team.Pune IPL team will be known as the “Sahara PUNE WARRIORS”…The team will play its home game at the maharastra cricket association stadium near Pune.
